Kerr Engineering were engaged by a major drilling operator to adapt a mud tank sourced from overseas to meet their specific requirements for local operations. Due to an immediate operational requirements this work needed to be completed in a compressed time frame.
Scope of work:
- Design and installation of the power pack, pumps, and hydraulic system
- Layout and fabrication of all pipework and control panels
- Manufacture and installation of the safety controls and isolation points
- Fabrication and installation of all work platforms, safety rails and access ladders
- Integration and testing of the systems
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable AS/NZS and ISO standards
Outcome:
The refit was completed on time and to budget with the mud tank going into continual operational use immediately on completion of all work.
